Jesse's #1 Fan

I was telling this story to my mum and she suggested I post it here as it is a great example of Luke's love and appreciation for his family.  I came to England a few years ago to visit the rest of the Wong family and when I was in London for a night I went out for a couple drinks with Jesse and Luke.  The bar we found ourselves at that night was having an open mic night.  Luke asked the man running the open mic event if Jesse could play at the end when everyone else had gone.  The man told Luke that everyone else had signed up the day before and reserved a place, as Jesse had not done this, he would not be allowed to play.  Luke negotiated with this man for several minutes, trying desperately to convince him to allow Jesse to play.  Eventually the man agreed to let Jesse play, I'm not sure if it's because Luke had finally convinced him how good Jesse was or because he just wanted Luke to stop hounding him.  When Jesse got up to the stage to play Luke let out a "GO ON JESSE!" loud enough for the whole bar to hear.  Luke stood in the front row for Jesse's performance.  He was such a proud brother.  The love and respect he had for Jesse was on full display.  Luke set the bar for what it meant to be a brother.  When Jesse finished he got the loudest applause of the night.  Not only had Jesse put on a great show, but Luke's energy was contagious and everyone was as fired up as Luke was to see Jesse perform.  When the night ended I headed back to Andrew's place.  Luke had made plans to stay at a friend's place that night as all Andrew's beds and couches were full with all Luke's cousins staying there.  An hour or so after I had been back at Andrew's, I was surprised by Luke at the door.  He said he had changed his mind and would rather spend the night with all his cousins, he said he would just grab a blanket and sleep on the floor.  I don't remember exactly where he ended up sleeping but it wasn't the floor.  I think he shared a bed with Casey or Charlie that night.  We were all so happy to have him there.  We will all miss Luke so much and his presence is so irreplaceable but I hope this story brings some happiness to those who were closest to him.
